All reporting pages in the Analysis share the same basic set of functionality, although not all controls are available on all pages. This functionality can be grouped as follows:

About link tracking

Links are tracked for different amounts of time, depending on the type of email campaign, the type of content (normal vs. dynamic), and where it is viewed (inbox or online).

Note: Dynamic content refers to transaction-specific content; RSS feeds are regarded as normal in this context.

Selecting the timeframe

For recurring and on-event campaigns, you can select the time period by adding the start and end dates, selecting them from the calendar or by selecting a preset range from the list.

Please note that the time range refers to the date when the email was launched, not when it was opened or clicked. In other words, all responses, no matter when they occurred, will be displayed for each selected email.

For ad hoc campaigns, all figures on the Results Summary page are for the entire lifetime of the campaign. If you want a more detailed breakdown over time, you can look at the Click Rate Over Time and Open Rate Over Time tabs.

Filtering the metrics

For recurring and on-event campaigns, you can use the filters on the right of the graph to define which metrics are shown. This is useful for direct comparisions and reduces clutter in the graph. For ad hoc campaigns, all response metrics are shown.

Viewing the data

Some reports present an overview of the most important metrics at the top.

Hover your mouse cursor over the Bounced field to see a tooltip with the breakdown of bounces by type.

Others show a graph with the selected metrics over time (recurring and on-event campaigns only). You can also toggle this graph between the Total figures and the % Rate. Hover the mouse cursor over the graph to see the selected metrics for that particular launch.

For ad hoc campaigns, you also have a View Details button which will show you the user who created the campaign, the subject line, launch date, recipient sources and other information.

Viewing individual recurring campaign launches

When hovering the mouse cursor over a particular launch of a recurring campaign, you can click to bring up all the response metrics.

  • Click View email to open a preview of the email.
  • Click View report to open the Results Summary page for that launch.

Exporting the data

For recurring and on-event campaigns, you can Publish the responses by downloading them as a .csv or .pdf file. These files contain all responses for the selected time period, not just those currently selected in the filters.

For ad hoc campaigns, you can Export a .csv file with all the responses of the campaign which will be sent to you as an attachment via email.

In addition to these, you can create any bespoke export on the Data Export / Contact response page.

Ad hoc campaigns also provide a breakdown of which contacts responded in which way. Clicking the name of any metric will list all the contacts who qualify for that metric.
